Americoat silicone coating is environmentally friendly and does not contain PTFEs or PFOAs. The process is more expensive than cold rolled steel but provides an exceptional level of rust protection that will last for years. Simply wipe clean with a towel or hand wash. Washing in the dishwasher is not recommended as the harsh chemicals can cause breakdown in the nonstick coating.
